Cat’s Paw Socks

These lovely socks feature a design motif based on the traditional cat’s paw lace stitch. They are worked on two circulars, from the toe-up, to allow you to use up all of the gorgeous Meow Collection yarn in the skein. Sizing is accomplished by changing needle size and gauge.

Materials
Ancient Arts Fibre Crafts 100% Superwash Blue Faced Leicester Wool (400m/437yds = 100g/3.5oz., Cat. 1)—1 skein. Sample shown in Tortoiseshell.

For size S: 2.5mm/US1.5 circ needles or size to achieve gauge,
2.25mm/US1 circ needles or one size smaller than above.
For size M: 2.75mm/US2 circ needles or size to achieve gauge
, 2.5mm/US1.5 circ needles or one size smaller than above.
For size L: 3mm/US2.5 circ needles or size to achieve gauge, 2.75mm/US2 circ needles or size to achieve gauge.

Gauge
For size S: 91⁄2 sts = 2.5cm/1” in Cat’s Paw Lace Patt after blocking
For size M: 81⁄4 sts = 2.5cm/1” in Cat’s Paw Lace Patt after blocking
For size L: 71⁄2 sts = 2.5cm/1” in Cat’s Paw Lace Patt after blocking
